The iPhone is a mobile multimedia phone (also called smartphone) with internet, multitouch-screen and much more. It is developed by Apple, and has a virtual keyboard on the touch screen. In many ways it reminds you of the iPod Touch, which is one of the most popular iPods there are. The first time the iPhone was presented was in early 2007. Half a year later the iPhone was launched on Apple Worldwide Developers Conference that is held in California. Time magazine called it the invention of the year 2007. About one year after that, an updated version with 3G and GPS was released, that was called iPhone 3G. This was available in about seventy countries, but in many of them the telephone is locked to specific operators.
iPhone 3G is made in two colors; white and black. It is somewhat bigger than the former model, and the shapes are a bit rounder. Now, yet another year later, a third version is released called iPhone 3GS, which has met a lot of good feedback. The big news this time is that the processor is faster and its memory is bigger. It has a digital compass, shorter downloading times, voice control and a better camera. Also, the resolution is better, it has autofocus and it is possible to make videos with it.
In general, when electronics for sale are boosted like this, the response is huge from the society. iPhone is no exception, actually it is one of the biggest hypes in the 21th century.
